The library is located at the medical campus of Hawassa University. It is a shallow plot situated between two buildings, with access roads on both ends of the plot. It is conceived as an inward looking building. Taking advantage of the elongated plot size, a ramped circulation is designed around the periphery, providing a free flowing space, recreating the outside in the interior. This rotating circulation also acts as a natural ventilation duct to the building circulating fresh air in various levels of the library.
